Retro Video Games

Report

If your team loves video games, look no further! This Retro Video Games will allow you to run a retrospective as if your previous sprint was a final boss finally defeated. To do this properly, the template is divided into three parts: 1) Icebreaker - Choose your character Hall Of Fame Edition In this icebreaker, your participants will have to choose their favorite characters from the video games universe and explain why it is better than the other (eg: smarter, stronger...)

They can choose among the 9 characters already present on the template by putting a sticky note on it with their names or they can choose any other heroes by putting the sticky note on the question mark box.

2) Describe your sprint by creating a Final Boss In this main activity, participants will have to describe the previous sprint as if it was a video game final boss.

We know that the final boss is not easy to conquer, which is why they are represented by 8 sprint characteristics such as the difficulty level or the energy remaining at the end of the iteration.

Each participant needs to adjust the orange point according to his/her previous sprint. It will automatically give us an idea of his/her final boss's strength, but above all an idea of how he/she experienced the sprint.

3) Action Items: Discuss future quests

Now that all participants talked together about the previous sprint, they need to write their future quests for the next sprint. Voilà! I hope your team will like this template as much as mine did. Enjoy :)

Hello ! I am a french Scrum Master working as a consultant. I do my best to offer innovative retrospectives to the two teams I work with. As I found some inspiration on the Miroverse, I decided to give it back sharing some templates created from scratch. I hope it will help the Miroverse community :)
