The hypothesis map is a strategic method that is used for high–level planning of future activities. A strategy is a general, non-detailed plan covering a long period of time, a way to achieve a complex goal. The hypothesis map is a method by which you can create a strategy to achieve a complex goal.
The map should be used when we need to examine what is happening from a height and answer the question, "How are we going to achieve a result?", as opposed to tactical methods that are used to dive into the details of the implementation.
